I don't know one musician who doesn't enjoy being hired as a pianist in Bath. It is a beautiful city and there are many beautiful venues that are ideal for weddings and many other types of events. I am booked as a pianist in the Bath area very frequently and the venues I visit the most are:
The Royal Crescent Hotel - This is a beautiful hotel set right in the middle of the famous Royal Crescent. The venue is very luxurious, but it is also very homely at the same time. I have always found the hotel's staff to be very friendly and welcoming. I'm sure that every professional pianist in the Bath area looks forward to any booking in this wonderful venue.
Woods Restaurant - This is one of Bath's most popular restaurants and I belive that they have a resident pianist. I have enjoyed playing for quite a number of events at this very friendly venue.
Priston Mill - Strictly speaking this venue is not in Bath, but just outside in Priston. This is a very tranquil venue and is one of my favourites.
The John Rennie - The John Rennie is a narrow boat that is very popular for weddings and parties. I don't know why, but I always look forward to a gig on a boat!
The Roman Baths - This is a famous historic tourist attraction that also doubles as a very fine venue. I've played here quite a few times and I am looking forward to the next occasion - whenever that may be.. soon I hope.
I play many styles of music ranging from Bach to Bacharach, but I am often booked as a solo classical pianist for events. This can range from a few pieces for a wedding ceremony to a couple of hours of continual classical music. Although I play a lot of classical stuff , my main speciality is music from the jazz and swing era which I really enjoy playing. Being able to play music from different genres is a must when I am booked as a wedding pianist.
A recent trend has been to book my services as a sing-along pianist and this sort of thing has become more and more popular. Surprising, this has even become something of a feature during weddings and really does break the ice. A baby grand piano shell is available for those occasions where a normal digital piano just wouldn’t look quite right. This can be set up in about 45 minutes and it holds a conventional digital piano. A lot of people think that it is a real grand piano when they see it and are surprised when they find out that it is just a shell with a keyboard inside.It only costs an additional £80 for Eugene to bring this piece of equipment with him to an event. That is a small fraction of what it would be to hire a grand piano from a supplier.
There are a few limitations on where Eugene can offer this service, but it is fine for most situations. There are restrictions in Central Hertfordshire and other major cities due to parking problems. Please contact Eugene and he will try and get around any obstacles.

I can provide different types of music for different parts of your wedding day. You can have classical music for the ceremony followed by solo jazz piano for the drinks reception. You can then have mellow dinner music during the wedding breakfast followed by a jazz trio for the evening. You can even have a Cockney sing-a-long as part of your day. Just let me know your preferences and I'll try and accomodate.

Christmas is upon us again and lots of parties and other festivities have to be planned. I am often hiredas a pianist for Christmas parties - especially in London.
